Rainer and Dirk, two German backpackers who are driving across the Nullabor Plain in Australia, hit and kill a kangaroo. Since kangaroos are generally seen hopping about and not holding still for the camera, they decide that this would be an unprecedented photo opportunity. They should have known to have more respect for the dead.

Hip...C-

The only slightly amusing touch was the ending-other than that a typical and predictable short (...oh, and those youngsters were certainly not mother-tongue germans!)

Don't skip this one !
Pimbi10/15/05
Typical German backpackers! And a real kangaroo! Yay! I love the music! One of my favorite shorts.

Very funny!...Kangaroo Looters! LOL
Anonymous9/25/05
well, why germans? and they are not real germans because I AM german and i don't understand some sentence they're saying. bad german ^^ good film, but why Germans? maybe it's another Prejudice? thumbs down for the german language, thumbs down for the idea with the german backpackers, thumbs up for the story.
jimbo9/10/05
didnt they make a dumb movie about this concept?
Jay8/8/05
This one put a big smile on my face. Everyone love it when a animal get back at a human.

Oh those crazy Germans and their shenanigans. Silly, but not clever, funny, or mildly entertaining. I guess comedy is different in Germany. Or maybe the lack of talent is just universal.

This movie was not that great...Too predictable

I loved this one...It was so cute too! Reminds of Kangaroo Jack...

very cute!

So....good!
Blaed10/26/04
Nice movie. Good color treatment. seems like it would make a good commercial idea. The only thing is that the german speaking is a bit distracting though i like the subtitle touch. They should have done the film with heavy accented Austrailians and keep the subtitles.
michael10/17/04
great...the ending was totally unexpected!

Super funny. Better than Kangaroo Jack and this is only seven minutes! I love the ending, very cute. I like kangaroos anyway.
sleater kinney7/5/04
kangaroo jack should have only been 7 minutes also.

Ok, good thing your anonymous or else you'd be mocked constantly..first off it Inspired Kangaroo Jack...so..it came first...(and they did a good job, it was quite fun) secondly, lets see you hot wire a stationwagon like that.
Spidey3/7/04
This is a fun little film. It's worth a look. Unfortunately, this is also the film that inspired "Kangaroo Jack." For that crime, these filmmakers will not be easily forgiven.
Anonymous3/1/04
What, these morons never heard of hot-wiring? Looks like another version of "Kangaroo Jack."

Saw this same routine in a movie, it was dumb then, it wasn't any better this time.
jimdolby12/3/03

Skunk Puppet9/10/03

brippie8/21/03

This movie stunk the picture was grainy and you couldn't even understand the characters. It also took way too long to load!
george1962077/8/03
Gee now I know where the movie Kangaroo Jack came from. This one was funnier though. Seems one of them is stolen and odds are it was this one who was ripped off.
nickkyobashi3/24/03
Its a strange combo with the German accents and Cold Chisel. However it works.I could smell the insects and the dirt as they walked away from the skippy carnage into the outback in their german kinda of way
Regyne6/8/02
Loved it. Very funny and clever. The heavy Australian accent with which these 'Germans' speak German adds quite an absurd touch...
5/18/02
Great idea for a short. Silly and funny. Nice work.
3/31/02
OK, the kangaroo was faking it, so now there's no reason to watch the movie. It just wanted the car keys!!
