Merle McNally loves his pet goldfish, and for most of his twenty-four-hours-a-day, this simple fact provides a serene sustenance. But when waves of rhetoric and the impending invasion of Iraq seep through his subconscious, the comfort of his structured routine is threatened, and the very foundation of his everyday life lies in the balance.

NubianButterfly1/25/07

I think this war has worn alot people down. I know when this 1st started I was so stressed out I had bad dreams, and spaced out durning the day. I could see how he just spaced and did a very stupid thing. I think this tells alot of people's story

allgoodnamestakein12/16/06

its stupid....but thats wat i like!!

Square Gem11/21/06

Well-told story! Simple and powerful. Wasn't quite sure who was making the body bags at first, but good job over all!

Einar4/18/06

The concept is wonderful, though I'd use it differently. It could've made a good dark-humour comedy.

Jamie1/19/06

Nice metaphor for the war and a generally good film. A little stretched in places, but the radio commentry is very well placed.

ender12/17/05

too long and I don't get it

Jorg31611/1/05

Just plain stupid

thomas9/14/05

its a good video

Procrastinating Odd7/20/05

That was ridiculous. Thats offensive to many families that really have lost members who were serving.

jimbo6/22/05

great short but you censor my review?

ray3/26/05

in my oppinion this is a great video that strangely show how america is slowly dying

hudson hutch1/22/05

i love the comparason.. obviously war leaves loves one behind and going to a force labor job is the same as being in the army.

ChromeIndustry via AIM12/17/04

Body bags... yah, i see the correlation, but its too plain, direct, and the whole center of the flick confused me. Also its visible that this sketch only took a day to film. At best D-

Freedom?11/23/04

This was an exilent film, and anyone who didn't get it is either: 1) too stupid, or 2) too ignorant. Let's hope this illmoral war stops before it's too late....

gham11/6/04

good movie, a little long but well done

HEXONT38/28/04

Intriguing and symbolic. Almost a little too quirky and dreamy. Eating in the same place that you go to the bathroom like the fish. A little gross and crazy but a consistent contrast for the comparison of war, reality and perhaps insanity! Good show!

Stephanie7/10/04

It was an emotional sense of realization. Realization of things we tend to forget because we are so caught up in society. Great film.

keki6/29/04

nice job I like the symbolism in the film!!!! A+

Anonymous6/10/04

Good film. I didn't get it till the end. I agree, it makes you think. . .

Anonymous6/9/04

They've been renamed Transfer Tubes now. Makes you think.

Yacine Boulemnakher5/10/04

good symbolic film

angel125/8/04

it really did not make any kind of sense to feed his fish like that. this really stunked.

Cathy5/7/04

THE Ronnie James Dio?!?!?!? Of Heavy Metal Fame?? I wonder how many other celebs watch Atom Films like the rest of us "regular folk"?

ados5/6/04

its a bit dull if you got a few minutes and have a desent attention span you could watch it.

BT4/29/04

Wow! This is an Excellent film. I recommend it.

N U Know I M Right4/28/04

Some films leave you with no desire to comment, yet, as I see it, you write a review to help others decide whether or not to invest their time viewing a film... that said... I wish I hadn't wasted my time.

Anonymous4/27/04

not very convincing

Ronnie James Dio4/26/04

I can't get those moments back in my life. It was a waste of other things I could be shamin' out of.

bombs away!4/25/04

okay, I admit it. I cuold not watch more than 3 minutes. Maybe the last 7 was better. I could not take anymore.

slayer4/25/04

dam that was stupid

Anonymous4/24/04

Very unlear, hard to follow and corny

J Francis Reid4/24/04

This is why Hollywood doesn't let everyone make movies. Bad enough how easy it is to buy a camera. But now everyone actually thinks if they make a movie as strange as they possibly can, it'll win an award from the other idiots that make these silly things!

Md3city4/22/04

This is why I dont do drugs!!! Someone poor this director a glass of KILL YOURSELF!!

MonkiesSMB4/21/04

Very intriguing concept, really shows the ripple effect of warfare

alateen4/19/04

It's nothing, absolutely nothing!

Anonymous4/19/04

that was the most stupid, boring, drawn-out, never-ending clip i've ever seen in my life. pointless.

MiMiC4/19/04

What great visualization. Wow! Don't watch if you don't like to wait for something to happen. This one is awesome.

Grant4/18/04

The credits were beautiful...no really.

d.graham4/18/04

ranks a big fat O!!!!!!!!!

Andrew4/17/04

A strange film, exploring the disjuncture between political rhetoric and ordinary lives. Th central character hovers disquietingly betwen deep pathos and the deeply pathetic.

soft4/17/04

A waste of time. Where is the connection with the actor, the fish and the war? I dont even want to comment on this boring, useless, pointless film. If this is the best the writer, producer and director can do, then shame on me for EVER looking at another one of his/her clips.

len from detroit4/16/04

garbage

Black Mage4/15/04

Way to go! Good commentary on war and patriotism. ^_^

Anonymous4/15/04

Good commentary. Maybe it'll cause some people to think, rather than just waving a flag. A film by a true patriot!

MAX4/15/04

A nice commentary. In war, victims are found everywhere. They aren't necessarily human...or dead.

ouphemoon4/15/04

I realy feel it was the over-time that caused the nightmares and death of his fish. A lesson in working too much.

Steven P4/14/04

That was awful. Just awful. I can't believe that I sat through the whole thing...just wishing that it would get better somehow. It did...it ended.

Julio4/13/04

My thesaurus doesn't have enough negative words to describe this short. The only thing good about it is, it's short.

Anonymous4/13/04

This film was an absolute waiste of time! It was slow & stupid.

Anonymous4/13/04

Looks like it was shot entirely at the magic hour. Beautiful!

paranoid producer4/13/04

It is a slow paced short but that is not bad. It gives you the time to think about the message or even the messages. A really well made film that speaks. I knew where it was going and was still moved when it took me there. Nice work.

Anonymous4/13/04

Its an alright short. They could of made it more entertaining though. Anywho, this David Rosier fellow, I have to say that you my friend are a moron. Obviously you havnt been paying any attention to the news and the death toll. Surely, the Body Bag manufacturers would make a lot of money because, well lets think about this, how many AMERICAN SOLIDERS have died so far? 785 Coalition Forces have died. And the reported cilivian count is 10715. Yeah thought so.

Lauren4/13/04

This short is powerful. If anyone doesn't think that private businesses doesn't monetarily profit from death in the war they have shut their eyes just as if business didn't profit from people's fears of not being patriotic enough after 9/11 by selling anything with an american flag on it - hopefully this film could point that out to people.

David Rosier4/13/04

Any body bag manufacturer hoping to make a killing on the Iraq war would have gone out of business sitting on all those unused bags. I am glad that this movie exist as a demonstration of how wrong the left was and has been all the way down the line with every prediction of doom and defeat that they made concerning this war.

slapadelic4/13/04

as much as this film is mean't to me monotonus... its not meant to put the viewer to sleep is it?
